Canoeing Programs for BSA and GSA |
|
Have your group earn their whitewater merit badges from the dean of white-water canoe instruction, Dave Brown. For the past 20 years David has introduced 5000 Washingtonians to the art of river canoeing. There's no need to drive hundreds of miles to West Virginia or Pennsylvania or fun and excitement! We're fortunate to have the Potomac River so close by...it's our river of choice. Our usual meeting places are just five to twenty-five minutes west of the American Legion I-495 Bridge. The Potomac waters are warm enough for canoeing from late April through the end of October. We can teach your group the step by step skills and knowledge needed to become river-wise canoeists! We offer 3 kinds of canoeing events...introduction to whitewater canoeing, introduction to river canoeing, and white-water merit badge certification. Canoeing events can be scheduled for any day of the week. The most popular times for canoeing events are May, June, early July and September. We also offer group rates for 10 or more participants. Give us a call soon, as prime time dates fill up quickly. If you schedule for midweek we can give you our lowest rates! We look forward to sharing the river with your group this coming paddling season! Call Anytime for Reservations, Questions, or More Information at 703-281-4380 |
